I can see from the photos that he is below the tide line. Reply [email protected] April 14, 2016 at 8:18 am Yes taking pictures in this situation is quite easy as the hard work is already done by the amazing Gormley sculptures. Yes there are barnacles on some of the figures due to the amount of time they spend underwater when the tide is in. I guess they are colonised in much the same way that rocks are along the coast.
